Abstract

In the changing world system with the effect of globalization and technology, the perspective of individuals has also changed, and there is an approach to individuals with new formulas and methods from the old-style approach to individuals. The growing young population in the world and in Turkey is the segment most affected by change and transformation. Instead of a protective and protective approach towards young people, ensuring multidimensional participation of young people in social life and political participation and creating new policies for them are examples of these. It makes its work more inclusive in the private sector and civil society, as well as the public sector, regarding the participation of young people in social and political life. With the changing and developing understanding, young people have become the focus and stakeholder of local governments. Municipalities carry out youth-sensitive budgeting with activities such as personal development, volunteering activities, sports activities, university education support, fuel/aid support, employment support. In this context, youth has become an important target group for local governments. In this study, the youth policies of the ruling and main opposition parties at the local level are discussed comparatively and the imaginations of the youth are revealed.
